There is no denying that GearBest is a widely relied upon and utilized retail platform.

Despite the thousands of positive reviews revolving around GearBest there are complaints that should and need to be addressed.

When visiting the Better Business Bureau we were confronted with the following:

173 customer complaints have been disclosed while 41 of them were resolved over the past 12 months.

“False advertising on prices in the emails they send out. Definitely a bait and switch tactic. They also cancel orders after they take your payment and charge an “international transaction fee” that they refuse to refund even though they cancel your order.”

“They advertised a $50 off coupon for new members. When I signed up they split the coupons into multiples that didn’t add up if not being used I tried to contact them and explain that they should have worded it $50 in savings not as a $50 off coupon I even sent them a photo of their advertisement and was disappointed in their treatment.”

“On JANUARY I bought a camera and an accessories kit. According to the page they were both due to shop within days. I already received the accessories kit but Gearbest does not ship the camera. It’s still being sold, people are receiving it and posting reviews but three months have passed and THEY HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO SHIP THE PRODUCT. They keep telling me to choose another product, so I am supposed to eat the accessories kit, right? Or shove it somewhere cause it won’t fit another camera. They are selling products without stock or are just unable to ship them. This has been my worst experience with online shopping.”

“I haven’t received my order or a email for over 3 weeks. I had to register and went to contact us and it just kept giving me back and forth wanting email. Is GearBest.com Trustworthy?

There is no easy way to address this question for 2 reasons.

The first being that GearBest is shopped by millions of consumers of an annual basis.

Therefore, for a retail platform to reach that kind of reputability, obviously they are rendering a service of value.
