I don’t understand how such a product can make claims and sell their products under false pretenses. BBB accreditation’s are a yes or no? Just plain confused. I’ve see it at one point on Dr Oz. Personally I don’t like or trust a TV doctor. Wife on the other hand likes shows as such. If one is to sell food it’s regulated. You and anyone working there must have a food handlers card. The key word being “Handler.” Doesn’t mean they can cook. That’s how I sum up this wonder supplement. A wannabe doctor that’s gotten up in age. Now he and his scammers are trying to make their millions at the cost of Americans looking for a quick fix. It won’t happen without movement. Get up and do something for yourself. Yes, eat right and stop going to eat at all these fast food restaurants. Our forefathers weren’t fat or obese. Just ask yourself, why are we today? The answer has always been there. Take time and make time to get time at end of your life working. It’s called life at its fullest. And that can only be done by you. Not a doctor or any other scammer looking to make a quick buck at your cost.

David, I’m Aria from Gundry MD. I was upset while reading your review because we are a reputable company that strives to improve our customer’s happiness and health. I personally think that we have done an amazing job so far, based on our customer’s glowing feedback and the thousands of positive reviews written by our amazing customers. I definitely agree with your sentiment of the importance of staying active and eating healthy, we would never disagree with this. But our products are designed to enhance our customer’s overall well being. Dr. Gundry has dedicated his life to improving the health of his patients & customers, and continues to do so to this day through his growing line of amazing products. I’m really sorry to hear you feel this way about Gundry MD, but please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at Aria@Gundrymd.com if you ever have any further questions.

David, Excellent review. I have been following the health supplement industry for decades and it’s always the same scam pitch. The marketeers in this industry have their play book well tuned on the American people; now only if Americans would wake up and see how they are being duped! Here is how it works: the industry uses a reputable authority, in this case Dr. Gundry who is a world known cardiac surgeon. Gundry, for whatever reason, has decided to sell his name and reputation for the fast buck. After all, he and the industry can make millions with this play book. A key factor in all this is taking some research or nutritional discovery in the news and tweaking it into something more than it is. In Gundry’s case they have selected lectin proteins as the villain in all our health problems. A master stroke, because plant proteins have been implicated as problematic (i.e. gluten) in human health. Research does seem to support many of his claims, but he and his industry backers have push the narrative to the extreme. So much so that less vigilant (and vulnerable) people can easily be swayed into thinking that there is something genuine in everything he says. But here’s the thing; if you can take a newly discovered and accepted research discovery like gluten, and stretch its meaning, then you can sell half truths and speculation as truth. You can by association exaggerate the value of something; and this is what Gundry and his marketers do with his supplements. So gluten is bad, yes everyone agrees; but wait, I’ve found out that casein from NA cows is bad, tomatoes are bad; in fact, all indigenous foods from the new world are unhealthy! So claims Gundry. Really? Add to this lots of videos that show how healthy olive oil is, or living in Italy, or taking this mineral or herb is good for you; then you got a good con going. If you can masterfully conflate that which is true and accepted with yourself (Gundry) then all the rest of it goes along for the ride and people know not the difference. This is how the supplement industry scam works. Find a credible person, use truthful information to prop up nothing remarkable (i.e pricey miracle probiotics), and you have a formula for making lots of money. There is however one more requirement that these peddlers adhere to, and that is that it all has to be legal, and it is. However, if people would just realize how unethical all this is, they would surely turn away in disgust. Exploitation of vulnerable people; often the sick, obese, and elderly by inferring that what they are selling is the answer to all our health problems is disgusting. What makes it most upsetting is that we have a man of medicine, but not just any doctor, but an esteemed doctor of high reputation and standing huckstering supplements of no unique value. People should really stop and ask themselves, is Gundry really on to something? Is he a kind of new Salk or Pasteur with a bold lectin discovery? Well, no; he and his marketing backers just frame it that way. They cherry pick from the science and research and conglomerate findings regarding lectins, leaky gut, gut microbiome, and healthy eating; into a narrative that many will find not just plausible, but as it must be so! They want to believe it! So the products that Gundry puts out are relatively safe and probably of good quality, but instead of selling these at a fair market price, they over inflate there value, for after all, miracle breakthroughs have to cost a lot more, right? David, you are of course right, the answer to our health problems has always been there with healthy eating of wholesome foods. It is how our ancestors thrived in a time where snake oil marketeers were only small time operators travelling from town to town in a cart. Now we have the multi-billion dollar agri-food industries peddling so called food that is tainted with man made substances that are slowly poisoning us over the course of decades. It’s delicious, cheap, convenient, stores well, and attractive to consumers; and Americans go along to be unscrupulously exploited. The snake oil salesmen are now mainstream and established institutions. Complicit in this is our corrupt government, ever bought and paid for in their part of the scam. The result is a lot of sick people and a health care industry that will surely bankrupt this country. But that’s another topic for other commentary on what is scamming America. Thank for your honest opinion.

Thank you for opening my eyes to how all this comes about and how I get scammed.

I just received a second bottle, which I did not order. Am returning it to the Post Office, saying I did not order nor open it. I will be watching my credit card for its charge and notify my credit card provider to remove it from my account!

    • Aria Goodman

Hi Barbara, I’m Aria from Gundry MD. I’m so sorry to hear about this! It sounds like you might have been accidentally signed up for our Monthly Subscription Service. This is totally optional, and I can make sure that you are not subscribed. Please e-mail me at Aria@gundrymd.com and I can do this right away.

      • Lgt

        Hello Aria,
It’s not “Accidentally signed up”, the order sure doesn’t allow you to order just one bottle. You have to check the box that signs you up for a subscription before you can go onto the next page.

  3. Justin

I too have been incorrectly charged for purchasing Gundry MD

I originally ordered 1 bottle of Gundry MD for $49.95, however, upon checkout I was prompted to purchase three bottles and a special price of $84.00 to which I accepted.

I then discover that I have been charged for both the single bottle and the special offer of three bottles – I contacted your customer service department who said they will accept my return but I have to pay the freight????? Why should I pay for freight when they made the mistake?

I was most disappointed as I accepted their special offer for three bottles that should have canceled the initial order for one bottle – who in their right mind would order both?? Beware of the advertising prompts when placing your order – I also strongly suggest you read other peoples frustrations – some purchasers have had their visa’s charge multiple times without authorisation.

I have since discovered on the internet that this is a common occurrence – I like to give companies the opportunity to make things right before leaving feedback and reviews. I have tried several times to contact Gundry but they are ignoring my emails.

    • Aria Goodman

Justin, I’m so sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. I’m Aria from Gundry MD by the way. I’m so sorry for the miscommunication during the checkout process. As it is industry standard, we do ask that our customers send back the products that they would like to return. I’m very sorry abut the confusion. I’d like to personally make sure that you receive a full refund. Please e-mail me at my direct e-mail address, Aria@gundrymd.com. I can begin the refund process right away. Again, I’m very sorry for the frustrating experience but I hope to make this right by you.

      • niall mulvany

rubbish free trial if product works fine most people will be back, your contact me never seems to work you take the money in seconds, yet refunds take ages and a lot of hassle

  4. Dennis Gaudette

I’m seeing a lot of complaints here about not losing weight. Losing weight is a possible side effect of the supplement. And losing weight should not the primary focus of these reviews. I would like to hear more about the painful joints, fatigue and other symptoms that are attributed to leaky gut. How are those after 30 days? 60 day? 90 days? anyone…. anyone.

    • Aria Goodman

Hi Dennis, I’m Aria from Gundry MD. You are correct! Total Restore is designed support and nourish your gut lining. There are quite a few third-party review sites that you can find around the web with customer’s reviews too! Please e-mail me at Aria@gundrymd.com if you ever have any questions or concerns.

      • Brian

What I don’t understand is why labs done by thoracic surgeons of tissue while a patient is in surgery wasn’t noticed before? How could this phenomenon have gotten by for so long. Is Leaky Gut under an ICD-10 code. I always find natural substances to be nothing but a money grabber scheme. I recall a men’s sexual enhancement dietary supplement that was shut down for illegal billing. Enzyme I believe was the name? Do you take this supplement? What else has Dr Gundry dons with his miraculous claims? Any liposuction?
Why wasn’t this discovered in the adipose tissue of liposuction. I hope your transparent because the BBB is NOT AN ACCREDITING BODY. You pay them a membership fee. Am I correct on this?

    • Kathy

      Dennis,
I too was looking for relief for chronic painful joints , alas this product after 2 bottles has done nothing. I too failed to realize they would be shipping me 3 bottles per month when I ordered the 3 bottle deal as I believed that it may take 3 months to note relief. I must say I called and was able to stop shipments and they refunded my credit card within a few days.
Dr Gundry certainly is credible during his infomercial, but alas as others have said we are part of the biggest problem being gullible enough to believe that a lengthy combination of ingredients most of us know little to nothing about will bring us miracle relief.
Better off eating a low calorie nutrient dense diet that is nutritious with limited ingredients, low inflammation choices, lean protein, as well as organic for the best outcomes.

  8. MaryEllen

I watched your review in YouTube. It is somewhat misleading. First don’t miss pronounce names of products or companies. Correct pronoun caution is GunDry not Gundy. Second Dr. Gundry is a world famous, highly respected cardio thoracic Surgeon who is very well know for artificial heart and valve development and surgeries. All product verification resources listed I have fact checked with my physician. I have both used andrecieved timely refunds on Gundry products when returned. Consumers need to know products aid metabolic function mainly through blood and digestive functions. These types of products should not be taken at night unless directed as amino acids and product that aid circulation & deliver Vitamin B compounds can cause some energy and sleeplessness. Always consult a physician when taking any supplement. Having said that, I can medically prove the products improve digestion and lower health risk factors attributed to poor gut health.

I experienced that the company (Gundry MD) representative stated that I would receive a refund within 10-a5 days. After I did not receive the refund within 30 days, I called the rep. and she reported that the funds had been returned. After an investigation by my Cred Card services, the funds were returned to me. I will not do any further business with Gundry MD.

    • Aria Goodman

Hi there, I’m Aria from Gundry MD. I’m so sorry to hear about this! I’m glad to hear that you eventually received your full refund. But I’d like to look into this a little further to see where the issue originated. Please e-mail me at Aria@Gundrymd.com so we can further discuss.
