During the process of investigating we discovered that Fighttinnitusnow.com was employing stock photos as their own “user testimonials.”

When ‘learning more’ about the product on their website, you’re sent to an audible testimony (which you can’t pause or skip forward, nor backward) where a man named ‘Charlie Gaines’ tells you the heart breaking story of his struggle with tinnitus. A readable version is available as well. For years he couldn’t get the ringing to stop, and his condition worsened as doctors prescribed him medication after medication, none of them able to stop the ringing. He even started contemplating suicide.

Then out of nowhere, Charlie is contacted by a ‘Dr. Edmond Healy’ who wants to meet him in private. Under some very mysterious circumstances they meet up and Dr. Healy tells him about how he too suffered from tinnitus. Both him and his father, just like Charlie, allegedly started suffering from memory loss as a result of it.

Long story short, Dr. Healy tells Charlie about a cure for his ringing: a supplement given to astronauts by NASA meant to improve their IQ, but hidden from the public by Big Pharma and Big Government. He starts taking the supplement and in a matter of weeks the ringing is gone and Charlie’s memory improved.

Though a bit of scepticism towards the government and Big Pharma is a healthy thing to bear in mind, the secret existence of a cure that not only helps tinnitus but cures Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s while simultaneously boosting your IQ is, in the least, unlikely.

Furthermore, both Charlie Gaines and Dr. Edmond Healy are plausibly made up characters, their pictures nothing but stock photos and images found online. The same with all of the people in the testimonials: made up characters and stock photos. If there was a miracle cure like this, surely some real people would want to vouch for it?

Refund

For a while, Tinnitus 911 could only be purchased through their own website. When the desired effects don’t come forth, customers are invited to return the (partly) empty bottles for a refund. People who ordered it on the website tell of how they tried to return their purchase, but had a hard time figuring out where to send it. That’s no surprise as the company has had multiple addresses and seems to move from state to state every now and then. Those who did manage to return their bottles, reported being told that the company had no proof of them ever purchasing it.

Secondly, the company maintains a 90 day return policy – and at the same time tells its customers to try the product for a period of 90 days to really feel the effect settle in, even though “you should be feeling it’s effects within 7 days”. Smells like lies and grammatical errors.

Now the product has made its way to Amazon – but there seems to be little to no improvement regarding the return policy. We were unable to find any accounts of people getting a refund.

Tinnitus 911 seems like a spark of hope in that grim context, while in reality it’s not likely to be anything but another disappointment.
